For Shrimp Tacos
- 1 1/2 lbs raw Jumbo Shrimp peeled and deveined
- 1 tsp oil your choice
- 2 tsp chili powder
- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 6-8 corn or flour tortillas your choice
Optional Toppings
- avocado
- cheese
- additional cilantro and lime juice
For the Slaw
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 2 cups shredded purple cabbage
- 1 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 fresh cilantro finely diced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1/4 tsp salt
- Freshly ground pepper
Mix together chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt in a bowl.
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. Toss the shrimp in a small bowl with the spice mix until well coated.
Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shrimp to the hot pan and sauté for 5-8 minutes, flipping occasionally, until translucent and cooked through.
In a large bowl, mix together the ingredients of the slaw until combined.
Add cooked shrimp to tortillas and add seasoning and toppings to preference.
